Is there anything I can do before I attend my appointment?
Yes, please download and fill out our medical history form.
If you are unsure about the medication you take, please get in touch with your pharmacy and they will print you a list of all your current medications. Please include any yearly or bi-yearly injections you receive from your doctor or specialist. Don’t forget to include in the medical history form if you have had a joint replacement or heart operation.
Do you take online bookings?
No, we currently do not have an online booking system. We find a conversation over the phone allows us to understand and prepare for your appointment more effectively.

Am I eligible for a dental voucher?
If you have received a dental voucher from your Local Health District and intend to use this voucher at your appointment, please inform the receptionist when you make your appointment and your dentist at the start of your appointment.

Do you accept health fund payments?
Yes. Our practices are equipped with HICAPS machines allowing you to claim for treatment without having to attend your health fund for a refund. Depending on your level of cover and the treatment you have received you may or may not still be required to pay the gap. If you have any queries about treatment, we are able to provide you with a quote including your health fund rebate for treatment we offer; however, we cannot provide this advice over the phone.
Where can I park?
When visiting Port Kembla: Street parking is available and varies from 1-2 hour spaces however there is a council car park close by.
When visiting Warrawong: Street parking is available, and the old Bunnings carpark is across the road.
English isn’t my preferred language. Do your staff speak other languages?
While we recommend you bring a family member or friend to translate, certain members of our staff can speak fluent Greek, Italian, Japanese, Turkish, Polish, Croatian, Macedonian and Portuguese. Please let our receptionist know in advance of your appointment if you prefer a language other than English. We will attempt to ensure the right person is available to translate for you when you attend the surgery.
Is your practice located in a downstairs location?
No, unfortunately both our Port Kembla and Warrawong surgeries are both located up one flight of stairs.
I know I have a problem with a tooth, how much is a consultation appointment?
A proper diagnosis of the problem and discussion of options is always necessary before jumping into treatment. This can be a quick appointment or a longer one depending what options we can offer you. Our consultation appointments generally cost between $60 to $100.
Do you accept the Child Dental Benefit Scheme?
Yes, Xouris Giuttari Thanos Dental accepts payment under the Child Dental Benefits Schedule.
